Support scholarship

Aradin encourages the study and revival of endangered ancient languages, such as the dialects of Neo-Aramaic and Syriac. It supports scholars of the rich cultural and linguistic heritage of Middle Eastern minorities - especially, but not only, from their Christian communities - by offering exchange programmes, research fellowships, individual mentoring and collaborative courses in Britain and elsewhere.

Protect and preserve cultural heritage

Aradin helps minority rural communities in the Middle East to become more involved in identifying and preserving their neglected heritage, with training and grants to support local scholars in documenting and researching artefacts and archives. The focus is on centuries-old churches, houses, manuscripts, and artefacts that receive no other funding.
